Boston Scientific HeartLogic™ Challenge Game

The Need


The Boston Scientific (BSC) Rhythm Management group wanted to create a customer education quiz challenge to improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge and understanding of HeartLogic, a personalized, remote heart failure diagnostic and monitoring solution.

The Solution


Working closely with BSC, KDG developed a custom game-based eLearning quiz to support customer education. The primary audience for this eLearning includes allied healthcare professionals (AHPs). BSC needed to educate their customer’s knowledge and understanding of HeartLogic, a personalized, remote heart failure diagnostic and monitoring solution.

This quiz challenge revolves around a board game theme where learners encounter multiple-choice questions. The learner must answer these questions to earn points and progress around the board. The quiz features three levels, ranging from easy to progressively harder, with randomized questions. The learner must answer at least 80% of the answers correctly to receive a certificate of completion.

BSC features the game on its HeartLogic microsite. They have sent out email campaigns and social media posts to their customer base to raise awareness. They also promoted the game at industry events and through their sales representatives, offering incentives for participation.

The quiz challenge has been successful, with a high participation rate among healthcare professionals. The results showed that, on average, participants significantly improved their knowledge and understanding of Boston Scientific’s HeartLogic Heart Failure Diagnostic device.
